Long before there was a jewelry collection, there were quiet mornings spent walking the shoreline at sunrise. The world felt still as the waves gently rolled in, the salty ocean breeze drifted through the air, and the first light of day illuminated treasures scattered along the sand or diving deep, holding my breath as long as I could to find the ones that had not yet made it to shore.
I found myself drawn to the seashells.
Each one was unique—shaped by the tides, weathered by the sea, and carrying a story all its own. What others passed by, I saw as nature's artwork. I would spend hours searching for the perfect shells, collecting pieces of the ocean that felt too beautiful to leave behind.
Over time, a dream began to take shape.
I wanted to preserve these treasures forever. I wanted to transform the shells that had spent years journeying through the sea into meaningful pieces that could be worn, loved, and passed down. What began as a personal connection to the ocean became the foundation of Britt's Beach.

If you've read any of my previous blog posts, you may remember that I used to have ROXY posters hanging on my wall in my bedroom. I would often admire them and wondered about the jewelry they would wear. I always wanted to be a ROXY girl!
Fast forward and my dreams came true in a different way. I was able to help style multiple ROXY campaigns from Japan to the Bahamas and here in the states. One day I was shopping at our local MAUI NIX Surf Shop and what do I see? My handmade jewelry on a ROXY poster! I will never forget the feeling I had. Dreams really do come true if you work hard and believe in yourself. And even if you don't yet, just keep working and being yourself and anything can happen!
